Assorted cars in the paddock
Given the events and lateness of Friday night, we were up surprisingly early and not too groggy ready for a day at the races. Managed to find the track easily enough. although we took it very gingerly until I found a petrol station as I was right out of fuel. Suitably replenished we arrive at the track at the allotted 8.35 am time to receive the briefing - only to find that things were all very French and Laissez Faire and that virtually no one else was around. Still we received a few brief words from the organiser and signed our lives away with a couple of all encompassing indemnity forms. Then before we knew it we had donned our helmets for a few sighting laps (maximum speed 50mph). A lovely but very tight circuit with one long straight and 13 corners in 1.5 miles. Hence ideally suited to the smaller lightweight car - certainly not to the Lambo and TVR Sagaris that turned up later on.
