Having both had a trip to the hairdressing salon to ensure we were freshly coiffured for the occasion, we met up for the hoon after lunch. First stop petrol (what a price, almost £1.30 a litre), second stop a nice country pub for a pint in the glorious sunshine. The opportunities for a decent bit of hooliganism on the roads were limited, as the sun had drawn out every type of Sunday driver imaginable- " Doris, I think 30mph is pushing on a bit for my Prius, so I will pootle everywhere at 20mph" Seriously that is what it was like at times. Still, the ipod blasting, roof down shades on and the sound of Fatrat's throaty supercharger and exhaust in the background made it an enjoyable couple of hours nonetheless.
We have vowed to get up early on a Sunday next time though - Watch this space....
