It's new.. it's blue and Mrs M almost approves!

Having been at least a couple of months since my last car purchase, I could resist no longer. My previous purchase of an un-tastefully modified, but economical Rover 22osd had not gone down well with the boss - I had bought it on the sly whilst she was abroad for a few days and whilst it

drives and goes well enough, was immediately deemed to be a boy racer's car and therefore unsuitable as the family hack. The serious clouds of sooty black smoke that erupts from its rear every time you put your foot down don't help either.

So it is on ebay and in its place is a sweet little Renault Clio sport 172 in a colour which Mrs M approves of and with integral sat-nav. In fact she has taken it out for the first time as I write this, so await her verdict. I ran one a few years back and it certainly handles in the go-kart manner I remembered. Not as powerful as I recall though, but then when your main car is the MTM Audi beast it is not surprising!
