Fatrat had tempted fate big time by ordering tickets in advance for the Brands Hatch rounds of the British Touring Car Championships last Sunday. True to the usual British bank holiday form, Sunday dawned bleak and miserable with a fine drizzle which got steadily worse. With two boys in tow, we traipsed round the circuit getting wetter and colder as the morning progressed - we did managed to see a couple of races, including an exciting BTCC round with cars sliding off all over the place.
Decamping to the car for lunch, we soon realised that we were not going to brave it again and came home instead to watch Chelsea beat Liverpool away to come within a whisker of winning the Premier League. Much more satisfying! If only it had been the previous week, we would have been basking in a beautifully warm Spring day.
